Previously, I was an End-Of-Course Math tutor at Western Guilford High and finish high school with a 3.5 GPA and finish my bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Biology in 2013 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am working on my master's degree in Chemistry at NC A&T. During my undergraduate, I was more focused on the biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology side of biology. Also, did research in evolutionary genetics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for 2.5 years. I have a little background in environmental science. I was a teacher assistant for General Chemistry 1 Lab (CHE 112) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for a year. Transferred to NC A&T State University to finish my Master's Degree in Chemistry with thesis research in organic chemistry in December 2020. I have taught organic chemistry and general chemistry lab at North Carolina A&T State University for a total of five years.
Experience
I tutor at my high school, Western Guilford High. I worked with children K-5th grade in a program and help with their homework. I volunteer last spring for elementary end of grade testing in the state of North Carolina. The highest math I have taken was calculus II and currently taking calculus III. I have taken general chemistry both in high school and college. However, I am very strong in organic chemistry than in general chemistry. Since I major in Anthropology, I am very well at social studies and history. Also, I lived in North Carolina all my life, so I do know the EOGs and EOCs tests including the benchmarks that are given in the state public schools. The reason I want to be a tutor is that I want other students, no matter the level they are on, to be successful in school. I have finished my Master's Degree in Chemistry with thesis research in organic chemistry in December 2020. I have taught organic chemistry and general chemistry lab at North Carolina A&T State University for a total of five years.
